Plain-English buyer terms
Terms of sale

These terms apply to every LayerScout sample and order. Questions go to hello@layerscout.com.
1. What you are buying
A data file of property-owner records (the “List”) derived from public county and state records, with LayerScout's own scoring and signal annotations. The List is information, not leads that asked to be contacted, and not a guarantee that any owner will sell.
2. Permitted business use
The List is licensed to real-estate businesses for their own property-acquisition marketing. It is not a consumer report and must not be used to determine anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or tenancy, or for another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
3. Your marketing, your compliance
You are solely responsible for how you contact people on the List and for complying with every law that applies to that contact, including the TCPA, Florida Telephone Solicitation Act, state foreclosure-solicitation and equity-purchaser statutes, DNC rules and postal-marketing rules. LayerScout supplies data only and does not contact property owners for you.
4. Exclusivity
Each List is sold to one buyer for its stated territory and cycle. LayerScout will not resell the same List in that territory during that cycle.
5. Accuracy and refunds
Public records contain errors and change daily. If a record is materially wrong at delivery - the wrong owner, a property already publicly listed for sale, or one already sold - tell us within seven days and we will replace it or refund it in cash, pro rata. Beyond that, the List is provided as-is and we do not guarantee response rates, appointments or deals.
6. No redistribution
The List is licensed for your own marketing. Do not resell, share or publish it. LayerScout's scores and annotations are its intellectual property.
7. Liability cap
LayerScout's total liability arising from a List is capped at the amount you paid for it.
8. Payment
Payment is due in full before delivery through the payment link provided. Prices are in US dollars.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
